That’s why so many pocket revolvers are sold “hammerless.” They’re also sold with trigger pulls in the 12-15 lb range, and no way to cock it for a single action shot!

To use, simply place the shroud over the hammer and press it forward so that the top of the shroud is in contact with the hammer and the bottom is in contact with the frame. When the trigger is pulled the shroud is designed to pop off the hammer and thus pose no impediment to the rapid deployment of the weapon in a critical situation. Be sure to test it with your gun so you are familiar with how it works!
This shroud should be placed on an unloaded gun before it is placed in the holster.

PERFECT! I have been a revolver guy for 40 years, not about to change now, but the hammer corner was sharp on my new Smith and Wesson 637. These are perfect to keep my old wimpy arm safe but allowing me to carry (everyday!) my revolver! Now work on some better grips for us die yards. 🙂

I use this product on a S&W 431pd, a .32 H&R Magnum revolver.
After years of use, it performs as expected. I cannot tell any difference in trigger pull between using and not using the hammer shroud.
